Big Blocks Make Great Quilts

I have some larger pieces of fabric leftover from quilt backings. Some of these are a couple inches wide, some are larger. I also have a big bag full of narrow strips. I made some strip units and some of the larger pieces to make these really simple blocks.
Each block finishes at 17" by 17" so you don't need very many to make a little quilt. Heck, you don't need very many to make a large quilt.
I added a 2.5" border to tie it all together. This one was relatively structured. I made two identical blocks and mimicked the colors on a second set. I have a couple different layouts for this size block to play with so expect to see a few more of these big-block quilts.

If you want to contribute but don't have the time or skills, you can support the national Quilts for Kids by shopping through Amazon Smile. I don't earn anything from this link. This link lets your purchases support Quilts for Kids through Amazon. I don't add affiliate links to my charity quit posts on purpose. I donate my time, my machine, my thread, and my skill to the cause.
