Charity Piecing

Last time I went to Annapolis Quilts for Kids I grabbed two charm packs and some coordinating fabric for borders.
I wanted to do something more interesting than just simple blocks, so I sorted the fabrics and cut these units to piece some little blocks. I'm sure the results will be very similar to a disappearing nine-patch. I'm piecing them as I work on other projects but it might move to the front of the line.

Puzzling

I picked this up at a puzzle exchange. I worked it over a couple days. I did run a timer and finished in about 1 hour and 43 minutes.

Amazon has this Rainbow Crystals Jigsaw Puzzle, 500 Pieces, 20”x20”

Tools and supplies (affiliate links):
Ravensburger Puzzle-Storage Puzzle Storage (300-1000 Piece) - this is great if you don't have a bunch of room to leave a puzzle out while you aren't working on it.

I know I missed my regular schedule of posts this week. I've been very busy at work and forgot to post. That doesn't mean I wasn't making. I'm always making. I pieced this fun little quilt. I love the brightly colored dogs. Woof!

Quilts for Kids: August

Saturday I dropped off 14 quilted quilts for binding, two tops I pieced, and some batting scraps for tote bags.
I picked up nine quilts with backing and a roll of batting. I also grabbed a couple pieced of fabric to add to the bin because variety makes great quilts.

Puzzling

Last week I finished this great puzzle called Trippy Picnic from Blue Kazoo. I bought this puzzle through Kickstarter a while back and just hadn't done it. It is an excellent puzzle. I really enjoyed the art and the quality of the pieces. Sadly, this puzzle is slightly oversized for my puzzle storage. For this one I used my Jigsaw Puzzle Roll Mat Puzzle Storage Saver to assemble the puzzle on my dining room table.
