Zippers put to good use

On Friday, I got busy with the sewing.
I didn't have much of this fabric, so I only managed two bags. One zippered clutch and one knitting project bag. I'm really pleased with how these came out.I found this great fabric with parasols and had to buy a whole yard of it. I made two zippered clutches using a couple of those wonderful zippers.
Since I still had fabric, I made some more knitting project bags. Sure there are three of them, but each is an individual with a different lining. It may take years to work through this stash of fabric, but I'm going to try.

Zippers, zipper, zippers everywhere

I found a great shop on Etsy that sells bundles of zippers. Since I've stepped off the zippered clutch cliff, I had to have more zippers. Yesterday, I kept an eye out for the postman. He was being coy. He would drive down the street, headed the other way. I'd see him again, going down a cross-street. I hopped out to the box to find... nothing. I kept peeking out the window of the sewing room while working on another bag. Finally, he pulled up to the box and... yes! Zippers!
Here is the bag that I made while waiting for the postman. I have been having a heck of a time getting good lighting to take pictures. Perhaps I should just be happy with badly lit pictures.
Time to get those zippers into bags! I'm off to sew away my day.

Tuesday Bags

I've been working on some cute little clutches. Here are a couple pictures.
The finished size is around 9" by 6". Smaller than the last one I made. Still a great size to hold your phone and wallet. When I went to the fabric store, I just couldn't walk away from this fabric. I love the bright colors and the cherries.
I'll have to work on taking some better pictures of these great little bags. If I work very, very hard, perhaps I can write up a pattern for these to share.

Goldfish and Fabric

Yesterday was a great day. I foolishly went to the local fabric store. Maybe I was hungry. I spent way more than I'd planned. This week I finished up this darling, little knit hat for little AP. Isn't she cute! Everyone likes goldfish.
To add to the fun, I received another package from Fabric.com. So many wonderful new fabrics to add to my growing stash.

Big plans for the day. Or, I'll end up accomplishing little. It's a toss-up.
