Quiltville Mystery Quilt 2016: Clue #2

Just like the last few years, Bonnie Hunter is sharing her annual mystery quilt on her blog Quiltville. This year it is called En Provence! I participated the last couple years with Grand Illusion and then Allietare and really enjoyed the process. Last week I shared my progress on clue #1
This week she showed us how to use the Tri-Recs ruler to get perfect little triangle-in-square blocks. (Mostly perfect blocks, there is still a human involved.) I cut the required number of pieces out of my chosen fabric. If you want a great video tutorial on how to use the Tri-Recs I highly recommend Bonnie Hunter's tutorials. They are clear, precise and will help even the most novice quilter get started.
I stitched the little bits together and pressed them flat.
Then I stacked them neatly for counting. I made a few more than I needed, but only by a handful. If you want to know how many are required here is the link back to Quiltville. Bonnie Hunter is an excellent teacher.
And placed them in the bin for safe keeping. Time to spend the week finishing up little things before the next clue comes out.

If you want to see some of the other great mystery quilts you need to go check out the clue number two link party hosted on Bonnie's site.
