In the Mail Monday: Thread and Bobbins

I'm so far behind with sharing my wonderful threads form Superior Threads. I belong to their thread of the month club and I absolutely love getting thread every month.
If you ever decide you want to build your collection of threads, this is a great way to do it. You can pick a club that ships you cones or spools and get new thread for sewing, quilting or embroidery every single month.
What else did I get in the mail? Bobbins and bobbin cases for my long arm. You don't realize how important extras are until you don't have any. I ordered these from eBay. Ten more bobbins and five more bobbin cases. I'll be ready to sew for ages!

  1. Why do you need extra bobbin cases? I do not have a long arm.

    1. If you've never had a machine with a removable bobbin case you may not realize how handy it is to have another on-hand. If you drop or break one, you have another available and don't have to stop everything to go buy a new one or wait even longer for one to be shipped. Like all moving parts, they won't last forever. Also, if you use bobbin threads of different weights it is easier to have a separate bobbin for these threads than to have to adjust the bobbin case every time you change thread weights. This works for other machines with removable bobbin cases, not just long arm quilting machines.
